Corona Virus updates

Most of our churches  (except Ingworth) are open for private  prayer but as of January 5th public services have been suspended. Please see the following communication from Father Brian sent on January 5th 2021

Dear Friends

Following yesterdays announcement of a third national lockdown, I have phoned all Churchwardens and Readers in order as a benefice to agree how to proceed. Although public worship is allowed legally to happen under strict safety precautions, by a clear majority the advise given to me is to be cautious. I am therefore suspending all acts of public worship in our five churches until further notice. This includes the cancelling of tomorrows planned service for Epiphany at Ingworth. Our church buildings remain open for the use of private prayer as before, and I encourage those able to do so. This decision will be reviewed in a few weeks

I do this with a heavy heart, but conscious that the safety of all is our first priority

The usual notes and sermon will be sent out to all on my e-mail list in time for each to use on Sunday (and can also be found on the 'Special Sunday services ' folder on the left.)

with my continuing love and prayers

Fr Brian

Please use the hand  sanitiser provided before you go into the church and when you leave. Please be careful to maintain the 2m social distancing rule if there are other  people there.

In the mean time we continue to pray for all who are ill whether with this virus or not, for our NHS, for all those affected by businesses closing and for those losing their jobs.

Finance                                                                                                    During this time of the closure of our church buildings owing to the Coronavirus our income from collections at services and fundraising has stopped, but the fixed costs remain much the same.  Please consider giving generously to our mission and ministry as we seek as churches to support everyone in this community.
