Where to find us and facilities

Erpingham is 3 miles north of Aylsham and 7 miles south of Cromer off the A140. The church is not in the centre of the village. Find the Erpingham Arms in the middle and travel up Eagle Road to the top of the hill. Keep to the right fork and you will see the church ahead of you. Turn left at the bottom of the hill.

Otherwise there are signs from the A140

Facilities

Car park. There is a large car park and a sloping shingle drive up to the door of the church. There is a ramp available into the church itself. If you need further help with disabled access please ring 01263 761698.

Guides. There are several ‘walk around’ guides available as well as leaflets about the architecture and a ‘story history’ of Sir John and Thomas Erpingham.

Dog Bowl – inside the porch.

Toilets. We have a disabled toilet at the back of the church.

Cards. There are cards for sale of the church and the brass.

Refreshments. These can be found at Alby Crafts opposite the Service Station on the A140.   Also there is a cafe next to the garage.

Also on Wednesday mornings there is coffee and cake in the Village Hall on Wednesdays from 10.15am to 12 noon. Everyone welcome.

The Spread Eagle pub has now reopened and serves coffee and cakes every morning  and is  open for drinks in the evenings.   Food to be available soon. It is closed on Tuesdays

Refreshments are served after all the morning Sunday services.

Walks. There are plenty of lovely walks around Erpingham. The Weavers Way runs down School Road, along the Street, and across Thwaite Common going on to Aldborough. Thwaite Common itself is well worth a visit.
