Calthorpe Church is in the care of the Diocesan Trust. Sadly declining attendance has made it no longer feasible for the Scarrowbeck Benefice to support this church fully.
HOWEVER! We are responsible for having at least 6 services a year and making the church available for weddings, funerals and baptisms.
It is also open to visitors and we are responsible for the grounds. There is a 'Calthorpe Friends' who look after the churchyard and raise funds to do this.
The Diocesan Trust covers building maintenance and insurance.
You are still very welcome to come to this lovely church.
